The Department of Neurosurgery at the Medical University of Vienna is pleased to offer the opportunity for physicians from around the world to observe our experienced highly specialized neurosurgeons in practice.
Focus areas of the Observership at the University Department of Neurosurgery are:
- TBI - Traumatic Brain Injury Management
- ICU - Neurosurgery Intensive Care Unit Management
- Treatment of special neurosurgical cases: Skull Base- and Vascular-Surgery, Micro- and Radio-Surgery,
- Best Practice Neurosurgery methods at a high medical and technical level and Insights in most recent advances and techniques in Neurosurgery: Multimodal Monitoring and Navigation, Intraoperative Imaging, Gamma Knife
(No Hands-ON) - Out- and Inpatient-Management and On-Site visits
The aim of the Clinical Observership Program is to provide an insight into the daily tasks of our neurosurgeons and an overview of the Austrian Medical System and Hospital-Management.
