Disease patterns and therapies in an interdisciplinary context

The complex field of Neurosurgery

In our clinic, interdisciplinary diagnostics and treatment of neurosurgical diseases are performed according to the latest medical science and technology.

Neurological Surgery is a discipline of medicine that provides the operative and nonoperative management and therapy of disorders of the central, peripheral, and autonomic nervous systems, including their supporting structures and vasculature.

Interdisciplinarity and multidisciplinarity play an important role in our diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, enabling us to achieve our therapeutic goals more effectively. Physicians and specialists from various medical fields treat and care for our patients in close cooperation, with the already established Interdisciplinary Boards playing a key role.

The boards also serve an important didactic role by providing medical students and physicians-in-training the opportunity to learn about the full spectrum and treatment options for complex neurosurgical conditions.

In addition to the boards organized by the Department of Neurosurgery, physicians from our department also participate in numerous external interdisciplinary boards organized by other clinics.
