Movement Disorder Board

Movement Disorder Board

The Movement Disorder Board was established in 2011 as an interdisciplinary case conference for pediatric patients with movement disorders and is attended by participants from the following Departments and Divisions:

After a thorough neurological examination (history, neurological status, genetics, neuroradiological findings, clinical findings and classification of the movement disorder), including detailed video documentation, patients with complex movement disorders are reported and the treatment strategy is established on a case-by-case basis.

The Movement Disorder Board also fulfills an important didactic role by providing medical students and physicians-in-training with an opportunity to learn about the full spectrum and treatment options for complex and sometimes rare movement disorders in children and adults.

Movement Board meetings are convened at 1-3 month intervals and held at our clinic.
