Vascular Board

Every Monday, the Board presents modern treatment concepts for patients with cerebrovascular diseases who are eligible for surgical or endovascular interventional treatment.

Specialists from the University Departments of Neurosurgery, Neurology and Biomedical Imaging and Image-guided Therapy, as well as students of the postgraduate PhD program "Clinical Neuroscience" (CLINS) are invitated to participate.

Given the numerous mono- or multimodal therapy options, an interdisciplinary discussion of treatment strategies is of particular importance. The treatment recommendations made at the meeting are implemented as quickly as possible in accordance with our clinical capacities.

In addition to planning future interventions, the debriefing of treatments that have already been carried out is particularly important. This allows defined treatment strategies to be reviewed and acutely treated cases to be analyzed on an ongoing basis. The patients presented at these meetings are carriers of cerebral aneurysms, CNS angiomas and arteriovenous fistulas or suffer from steno-occlusive changes in the cerebral vessels.
