Clinical research plays an important role in the overall concept of the Department of Neurosurgery.
In addition to excellent patient care and medical teaching, the medical and scientific staff of our clinic is intensively involved in research.
Specialized scientific and clinical working groups conduct studies on neurosurgical key topics, through which our patients gain access to new therapies. The research results thus flow into future clinical practice and, vice versa, the findings and experience of our staff lead to new research projects.
International scientific exchange is also essential for us. The research results of our scientific working groups are regularly presented at international and national congresses. Over the years, our clinic has not only developed into a nationally and internationally recognized reference center for neurosurgery, but has also established itself as an excellent institution for neurosurgical research and training.
